A government spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday that the Serres Bay Coastal Defense Force (CDF) was conducting extensive testing of various rotorcraft in the Dougga Pass region. Although the area in question is sparsely inhabited, residents of neighboring Cap Calamari and Serres Bay inundated the Mayor’s office with calls complaining of the noise. Chief among the complaints according to Mayor Maqrounna was the time of the aerial exercises, most taking place late at night.

Mrs. Bidoon is an elderly woman with a quiet demeanor and warm smile. She tends to her fresh produce set up in front of her modest traditional home, a quaint whitewashed bungalow located near the Beya Inlet. Her husband and four sons have farmed the land on the outskirts of Serres Bay for nearly half a century. As Port Sardina’s oldest residents, the Bidoon family own a highly valued parcel of land near the waterfront and have received countless offers to sell their historic home, all of them politely declined.

Small Fish Makes Big Waves

As Phase I of constructions in Port Sardina draws to an end, the Land & Zoning Section of the Serres Bay Development and Transit Agency (SBDT) awarded a small property strategically located near the inlet pier to the Funky Fish Café. The selection surprised many as the small café competed against major business interests and powerhouse investors for one of the smallest properties in the new section of the town.
