A government spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday that the Serres Bay Coastal Defense Force (CDF) was conducting extensive testing of various rotorcraft in the Dougga Pass region. Although the area in question is sparsely inhabited, residents of neighboring Cap Calamari and Serres Bay inundated the Mayor’s office with calls complaining of the noise. Chief among the complaints according to Mayor Maqrounna was the time of the aerial exercises, most taking place late at night.
Andicus Defense Systems, Serres Bay’s largest defense contractor, awarded the lion’s share of private sector contracts by the Serres Bay Budget and Appropriations Agency (SBBA). The firm recently confirmed the selection of the Iguana by the Serrian military as the Joint Force Light Assault Helicopter of choice. Andicus has been testing RC helicopters for the military for over three years. Serrian Sun obtained this exclusive footage of the Iguana in action during live exercises near the Dougga Pass.
